Participants will receive updated information about HIV/AIDS, its treatment and strategies for exploring HIV risk with clients and supporting those living with HIV/AIDS.

Learning Objectives

1. To increase participants’ understanding of the impact of HIV/AIDS locally, nationally and internationally, including emerging risk groups;
2. To increase participants’ skill in discussing HIV/AIDS with their clients, including the exploration of HIV risk behaviors as well as strategies for living with a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS;
3. To identify other social, economic and public policy issues that impact HIV today.
